23 septembre Asian Own's Sports Illustratredi bet you guys didnt know this, Almost three years ago Maggie Q sneaked into Malaysia for a personal project called Love Asia, an Asian version of the American Sports Illustrated Swimsuit editions. The production is aimed at promoting Asian women and Maggie is featured in it as well. "When we were shooting in Chinatown (in Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur) in front of the shops, none of the shop owners said 'No'. Most of the local people I've come in contact with in Malaysia are those working in my crew, and they've been really co-operative. That's partly why we chose to come to Malaysia. You have no idea how hard it can be in some countries. And even the reporters. Halfway through, some Chinese press reporters found out about me and politely asked for permission to take my picture and talk to me. That's so different from Hong Kong. That's why when I say Malaysian people are nice, I really, really mean it."
While the sylph-like Eurasian would not comment on her own craft, critics have been kind towards her few roles to date. Her most famous role was playing an FBI agent in Gen Y Cops (2000), which also starred Nicholas Tse.
Maggie Q (a/k/a: Maggie Quigley) gets the video going as any headliner should. The Vietnamese-American beauty, (5'9", 33-24-32) born in Hawaii to her American dad and Vietnamese mom, gives a laid back interview about herself saying "My dream is to do good films, films that mean something, films that that affect people." The interview is interspersed with video coverage of her swimsuit photo shoot.
Singapore born and raised Jacqueline has a Dutch father and Indonesian mother and proves to be a well-rounded, grounded and beautiful woman. Then there is Thai-Chinese Yo, (5'9", 34-23-34), raised in Thailand she is another girl next door who - to her surprise - was recruited for modeling and hopes simply to make the most of it while it lasts. An outstanding beauty is Aysha, (5'10" 33-34-33), who is a testament to international relations through her lineage as an Indian-Pakistani-Chinese woman. 22 septembre New way to say Hi in Japan ! !one finger says it all ! and me trying it out,

20 septembre Emergency in Thailandi've just receive this information from my ammie today, this is bad. taken from BBC news. There are even Tanks around the government area. i hope there wont be any problem anymore.
BBC Last Updated: Wednesday, 20 September 2006, 00:43 GMT 01:43 UK Military leaders in Thailand have staged a coup, suspended the Army chief Sonthi Boonyaratglin said the military leadership had formed a council for political reform and ousted the Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra. The coup leaders say the cabinet and parliament have been abolished, but power will be returned to the people.
Mr Thaksin cancelled a speech he was due to give at the UN. It is unclear whether he intends to return home. The military said the country's stock market, banks and schools would remain closed on Wednesday. BBC World, CNN and other international TV news channels have been taken off the air, while Thai stations have broadcast footage of the royal family and patriotic songs. 'Temporary measure' In the capital, Bangkok, soldiers seized government offices and took up strategic positions around the city In a broadcast on all Thai television channels, the leadership of the armed forces said it had taken control of Bangkok, declared nationwide martial law and ordered all troops to return to their bases. "We ask for the co-operation of the public and ask your pardon for the inconvenience," the announcement said. A spokesman for the coup leaders, Gen Prapart Sakuntanak, said the seizure would be temporary and power would be "returned to the people" soon. The military announced that regional commanders would take charge of their areas outside Bangkok. It ordered provincial governors and heads of government agencies to report to them in the coming hours. The rebels - who said they were led by Gen Sonthi - visited the king and declared loyalty to him. The highly revered King Bhumibol Adulyadej has made no comment about whether he backs the takeover attempt. There has been pressure growing on the prime minister to resign, including from groups close to King Bhumibol, following a political impasse in which April's general election was declared invalid. But the BBC's Jonathan Head in Bangkok reports that while many people wanted Mr Thaksin out of office, there will be unease about the way this has happened, and people will be looking to see whether the king has supported the coup. Opposition Senator Mechai Viravaidya welcomed Mr Thaksin's departure, despite doubts about the methods used. "I'm delighted he's gone," he said. "It would have been great if he had resigned voluntarily, but apparently he was too stubborn. But at least it's better than an assassination." Another opponent of the prime minister, Chirmsak Pinthong, suggested that Mr Thaksin's continuation in power would have been even worse. "I would say that nothing is worse than what Thaksin has done," he said. "Thaksin has already carried out what I would call a silent coup, because he called the country as a dictatorship by using money in a corrupt way. "Nothing is worse than the Thaksin regime." 'Following orders' Our correspondent says the coup is a surprising development for a country that had been viewed as one of Asia's leading democracies, and events in Thailand will have repercussions throughout the region. The streets in Bangkok were quiet on Tuesday night. People were calm for the most part, correspondents say, curious about what was going on, but some said they were scared. Traffic moved through the streets normally and in the bars of the city centre, foreign tourists seemed oblivious to what was going on. One soldier on a tank said: "We don't know why we're here, we've been told to say nothing. We're just following orders." Russell Miles emailed the BBC News website to say there were troops "dressed in Swat-style gear strolling around" near Government House, and "a tense, but fairly controlled atmosphere". He said: "We saw a group of blokes bundling a cameraman and another chap into a van. We are taking photos, but not out in the open." The EU's Finnish presidency expressed "grave concern" at events, and the US called on Thais "to resolve their political differences in a peaceful manner". It is the first coup attempt in 15 years in a country where they used to be commonplace. There were 17 of them between 1932 and 1991. 19 septembre Subang 10kJust joined the subang10k run today, the run will be on the 5th of November if i am not wrong, Anand my running buddy is not here no more, dude.. come back for this event la.. small and good just for you. Because of you and only you thats why Does not matter if you are away give me courage life's journey is tough -isaac- 18-Sept-2006 Klang Kriterium RaceYesterday was the 1st road race i participated, it was fun, but the problem with this race is .. alas... the wait. 7am in the morning Jason came by with his Bike and then followed by Justin, we all went to register ourself and got ourself a Tshirt, wow .. really kewl as we have not race and already got a prize, but to me.. joining the race and being at the starting line is being a winner. not many people i know would do that, they would just say, oh it is just a waste of time participating, 8.45, we waited for the categories to be flagged off, What a Surprise to see Justin's Mom and Dad whom came by to cheer for us, thanks Mr and Mrs Pua, i didnt took any picture but i did have this only, the starting line started with the Klang closed category offered only to under 18, what a bummer then follow by under 16, under 18, women open, junior veteran, and then senior veteron and finally the senior 19 - 35 category. time waited and cheering for racers total 4 hours Lim mechanic from Boon Foo was there, so was Kimbeley the Msia Triathlete, chatted with them for a while, i even saw my old coach Valentin from Russia and it was a long time he doesnt recognize me anymore, it was like 8 years ago. Well good to see him still training the Selangor division after so long. 12.30 the race flagged off for my category which is the senior 19-35, about 70 people raced. by the 2nd lap i have already dropped to 48, i just see there is no point continuing so i stopped when i saw justin by the side on the 4th lap :( i know i know. people who give up even before they finish are losers, haha .. but hey i know my limits k. those kids were just too fast. i was averaging about 38kmph so says my meter, AVERAGE!! its different from a dualthon or triathlon. cause you cant keep the cadence constant the track was a small little loop of 1.03km well no whining, i know where i stand as i dont train like those kids.. it was just for pure experience and fun. it was fun though and i am hoping to join more races in the future, Road bike race. catch ya later 17 septembre DO NOT CLICKCuriosity did kill the cat, it killed you cause you clicked on it even when i ask not to,In essence, "curiosity" is a term that describes an unknown number of behavioural and psychological mechanisms, which have the effect of impelling beings to seek information and interaction with their natural environment and with other beings in their vicinity. what causes this curiosity is most likely a natural instinct developed by evolution; curiousity confers a survival advantage to certain species, and can be found in their genomes (see Behavioral Genetics).Who is affected?Curiosity is common to human beings at all ages; from infancy to old age, and is easy to observe in many other animal species. These include apes, cats, fish, reptiles, and insects; as well as many others. Many aspects of exploration are shared among all beings, as all known terrestrial beings share similar aspects: limited size, and a need to seek out food sources. Many famous historical figures where affected strongly by curiosity, to explore and conquer, for example, Colombus, Balboa, Magellan, Coronado, Sir Francis Drake, etc. to name a few. 15 septembre Hey MrJohariwhen Madeline ask me to click on a website that had this funny name kevan.. i thought its going to be another spam site. guess not.. it was the Johari's window, i read about this window from one of my Uni course, this johari windows has all the characteristics and personality of a person, it is good to know that some people see you as some characteristics and some you dont even know yourself. i found out that all the characteristics that i have chosen for myself, people do know about it too.. so i think i do know myself infact.. i thought i was lost with my own characteristics. its really a fun way to learn about yourself and your friends. go give it a try, go to Johari's Window now. 13 septembre Kiss Goodbyethis is a wonderful song by Lee Hom, not that i understand chinese, but its just the beat and the tone of the song, blew me right away. i have heard this song from a friend, thanks for sending this song to me, if it wasnt you i wouldnt know bout chinese songs like these.

I accidentally found it on the net while searching for Lee Hom's KissGoodbye. Thanks Dude, keep up the good work. catch ya later It's a Dirty SportIs the truth finally catching up with Lance Armstrong, and is this one race the seven-time Tour de France champion may not be able to win? In Tuesday's New York Times, two of Armstrong's former U.S. Postal Service teammates admitted to having used EPO, an illegal performance-enhancing drug, at some point in 1999, the first year Armstrong won the Tour de France. While neither said they saw Armstrong do the same, the implication was that the drug use was common knowledge within the team. "The environment was certainly one of, to be accepted, you had to use doping products," said one of Armstrong's teammates, who requested anonymity, fearing reprisals from the notoriously vindictive Armstrong, who still wields considerable power in cycling.
More interesting -- to me, anyway -- was the testimony the Times uncovered that Andreu and his wife, Betsy, gave last fall during a lawsuit between Armstrong and SCA Promotions. The company had withheld a $5 million bonus it owed Armstrong after he won the '04 Tour because of doping allegations. The suit was eventually settled out of court in Armstrong's favor, but in their sworn testimony the Andreus said that when they visited Armstrong in the hospital after he'd been diagnosed with testicular cancer, they'd heard him tell his oncologists that he'd used "steroids, testosterone, cortisone, growth hormone and EPO." Their testimony was disputed by the doctor who administered Armstrong's chemotherapy at Indiana University Medical Center. In the same trial, Armstrong testified that his doctors never asked him if he'd used performance-enhancing drugs, and that he'd never used those substances. Which testimony is more credible? The Andreus' or Armstrong's? Ask yourself which party had the most to gain by lying. And why is that particular testimony significant? Because one of the possible side effects of prolonged steroid use is testicular cancer. It's impossible to prove, but if what the Andreus testified to under oath is true, than Lance Armstrong, role model and hero to so many cancer survivors, may very well have helped bring about his own cancer through his use of performance-enhancing drugs. Young athletes tempted to go down that road need to know if that's the case. None of what was reported in the Times is a shock to me. In 1999 I went to see Willy Voet, the Belgian trainer of the French-based Festina cycling team who was at the center of the '98 Tour de France scandal when he was arrested while crossing the border with literally hundreds of vials of EPO, growth hormones and testosterone. Voet ended up spending time in prison, and by the time he talked to me he was a man filled with remorse. He, too, was interested in helping to clean up his sport, and had written a book in French, the title of which translates as Chain Massacre: Revelations of 30 Years of Cheating. It made him an outcast in cycling but painstakingly chronicled the drug culture that only now is recognized as having infected the sport. In the 1970s, Voet said, the drug of choice was amphetamines. In the '80s it was anabolic steroids and cortisone. In the '90s it was growth hormones and EPO. He described leaning out a car window to give a shot to a cyclist in the middle of a race. He recalled hiding condoms of clean urine in the anus of cyclists to fool drug-testers. He spoke of dripping IV bags of saline solution into their bodies after a race to lower the ratio of red-blood-cell volume to total blood volume to avoid EPO detection in the event of a surprise drug test. Of the 500 cyclists he'd worked with over the years, only two had ever failed a drug test. "A racer who gets caught by doping control is dumb as a mule," Voet told me. And how many of those 500 cyclists he worked with did not take drugs to enhance their performance? "I can count them on two hands. Maybe two hands and two feet if I'm generous," Voet said. And where did the clean ones finish? I wondered. "The back of the pack," Voet said. Armstrong never finished at the back of the pack. Neither did his onetime teammate, Tyler Hamilton, the '04 Olympic champion who was suspended for two years for blood doping. Neither did another former teammate, Floyd Landis, who failed a doping test after winning this year's Tour de France. Neither did Italy's Ivan Basso, or Germany's Jan Ullrich, or Spain's Francisco Mancebo, who finished second, third and fourth to Armstrong in the '05 Tour, all of whom have been implicated in the Spanish doping investigation that rocked the start of this year's Tour. Each disputes the allegations. There's nothing new in any of this. Voet was telling the truth, but not enough people were listening. The sport of cycling is dirty, was dirty and will continue to be dirty until more athletes like Andreu and trainers like Voet come forward and break the code of silence. Remember those names. They're the heroes. Here's the thing about truth: It may take a while. It may take years. But truth's a tenacious battler. Eventually it will come out. (taken from yahoosports) I for once would like to believe that he is innocent, but the holes are beginning to show, most people that do not take drugs will be left in the back of the pack like voet said, its true, (maybe to a certain extent) If Lance is Guilty and he say he is not, he shall live in guilt and forever he will know he is wrong. Whats a win with enhancer to you ? ask yourself.. but if Lance is guilty on drugs, lots of people would be devastated, for one of them is me. catch ya later, 11 septembre Meet Bobby9 septembre The Tommasini ProjectYou must be wondering? what the hell is a Tomassini, its a italian bike manufacturer in DUH italy, it is a bike name to be hold with such as Ciocc, Torelli, Viner, Moser, Bellesi, Cinelli and Gios and Moser, i think thats all the italian bike brand that still manufacture Steel Frames as people these days go for titanium and Carbon. Steel is the way to go. Here is a bit of history about Tommasini
Irio Tommasini has spent most of his life around bicycles. In 1948, while still racing as an amateur, he started working on bicycles. His building career started at an important bicycle factory in Milan where he had the opportunity to gain valuable experience and learn the techniques that enabled him in 1957, to start his own business in his home town
Today i have started a new project (its the Tommasini project) its my bike. My steel bike and yup i will take months to look for all the right parts and the end of the bike it will look like this (the FRAME la i mean) not the whole bike.. the whole bike would be something else. I will show you the process of me going thru it one by one, maybe you can find a passion to make your bike into one, let me know .. we can ride together. if you have any cool steel bike pictures let me know where i can find it. Would love to see more design. thanks guys.. catch ya later 8 septembre Curious GeorgeThis is from the upcoming movie Curious George (out in February 06 in America), not sure if its going to come out in Malaysia or not, but i have watched it already and do not ask me how i got hold of the movie so fast.. really cute.. love ya george. 7 septembre Translation is not our thingWhy Malaysian Government insists on using English for math and science? This is because the whole world uses the language as an information and/or technology language. How dangerous it will be if we try to use Bahasa, especially in school. See example below:- Hardware = barangkeras Software = baranglembut Joystick = batang gembira Plug and Play = cucuk dan main Port = lubang Server = pelayan Client = pelanggan Try to translate this: ENGLISH: That server gives a plug and play service to the client using either hardware or software joystick. The joystick goes into the port of the client. BAHASA: Pelayan itu memberi pelanggannya layanan cucuk dan main dengan menggunakan batang gembira jenis keras atau lembut. Batang gembira itu dimasukkan ke dalam lubang pelanggan.
