Its Sunday morning again and its the most anticipated day for me in the whole week, why i say this is because i get to ride my bicycle. Today's route is Puncak Alam in er.. er.. i really dont know where.. Puncak Alam lor. We started in Centerpoint at 7.30am and already a whole bunch of people were there. Many new faces many strong riders.

We started with 30+ strong riders heading out to Kota Damansara with easing leasure riding pace. Superb weather i tell you.

Teck Wai looking abit worried, i wonder why ? hehehe.. I know Mac is always up for the challenge, guess what he the hardcore spent 4 hours in the gym yesterday, doing 2 RPM classes and other weights exercise. Man how he does it i really dont know,

Valerie quiet quiet snuck up from behind and said this.. OH YOU GUYS AGAIN ! sigh .. i know la we all not leng chai do wan to see us.. hehe

so we all slowly started with riding in a peloton from Kota Damansara until Sungai Buloh, wait .. i have the pics

this is the first half of the group, the other half behind me, shiok ler.. we like pro riders oni.  After we reached Sungei Buloh we intersect out to Old Airport road and go off to Guthrie Highway,  TA DA !! guess what.. another group of 10 riders came, its none other than.. MR TAN BOON FOO ! haha.. they came from another route and conjoin with us before reaching Guthrie highway. Kimbeley also joined in.

Pure bliss i tell you this Highway is just pure open road. Saw another lone cyclist from Klang, Uncle Yap he also joined in. At the highway all of us started to get crazy, i joined the first peloton and broke away when we were out from the motor lane, at this time the odo was already at 30+km and i guess haha .. can speed la since the first stop going to come liao. WACK la.. meter already showing max speed of 50kmph plus while Teck Wai drafted behind, suddenly the chase group came and all were in a peloton again. We are pushing 45kmph in a group and the others were left out, Pandai pandai la we all go so fast, We are now a group of only 15 riders and we reached the sungei buloh hospital, EMPTY i tell you this place. like haunted. yucks .. meter already showing distant of 49.8km! hhmm.. guess we over shot, LIM said he knows the way to Puncak Alam. So on the way we go. Boon Foo also with us.. ahha .. Strong rider never to underestimate this fellow man. he will leave you riding in the dust.  BLAH BLAH BLAH all hills and riding.. we only made a 5 min stop to buy water.. and off we go.. At last we reach puncak alam and meter already showing 70+km! i was thinking shit.. i dont want to blow my tyres here (bad habit i dont bring spare) a few riders went off on their own after the break and now we were left with around 10riders. Pushed on and ahah at last we caught up with the ORIGINAL PCC group. meter already showing 89km and we are no where near Kota Damansara, we strayed off a extra 30km ahaha, Got back to Center point and i already saw Mac and Val having their drinks. Mac said that they were told to get off the highway by police, lucky we were too far in front hehe.. ok la.. this is the report for this Sunday Ride. not much picture as i had by cam in a sandwich bag. Its was last Sunday that PK called me about this ride, i was so surprised to think that there is going to be a ride after the 2 day PD ride on Deepavali. They and another bunch of cyclist went off on a ride to PD using the Kajang way, i think it was with  

James the Bak kut teh and gang, too bad i didnt know bout that if not i would have gone too, they stayed over at Port Dickson and ride back to KL the next, should be really fun but i found out last minute. Its ok la, many more rides to come.  

Today is actually the 2nd day of Hari Raya and today is what I call the Tour De Kuala Lumpur, actually we celebrated Matt's Bday the day before till 2am in Chili's 1-Utama. Darn it. not enough sleep even knowing we have a ride the following day, I woke up with the sound of my phone ringing and i feel grogy to the fact that i was sitting on my bedside wondering what am i doing for nearly 2 mins.

Aiya dont think i want to go, but i said no no no, i got to do this ride even if it kills me, the phone ring that woke me up was Lawrance at my door step, I quickly changed, got downstairs, got my bike and loaded it into the MPV, Lawrance also said that he had a dream, the dream was that i told him the ride was canceled. HaHAHA

We started at Boon Foo today at 7.30, i think alot of people do not notice that they call BikePro's outlet Boon Foo. I think his shop should be changed from BikePro to Boon Foo. Saw about 17 people ready with thier bikes, PK and Family was sitting down having morning breakfast, Teck Wai was all set with his gleaming CR1. Mac arrive soon also. Then the gang all came, Lim and Kimbeley Yap, Fu Zhen just woke up with his broadshorts, PK needed to fix his BB, but, alas i didnt bring my toolkit, but ahah.. he gave non other than the great Boon Foo a call to open up his shop ! mauhaha.

check out the picture above, practically the whole of KL was for us to ride on, there was only a few cars compare to the occasional gridlock jammed up bumper to bumper. Benny is the Far back with the blue Jersey, Kim2 (thats what i call her now) is the one with the purple and white jersey riding on a Felt F4C, nice red and good choice, (ngek ngek ngek) cause i riding a Felt oso ma. same colour like couple ngek ngek ngek (but later the BF kill me)

And this is us chilling half way thru the ride, Me and handsome lawrance on the right.

 saw the sign board is says to Jln P Ramlee, Ampang, Raja Abdullah and T.A. Rahman. well didnt know what to do, so snap somemore pictures. the ride in the city was easy like a tour, superb weather to be doing a city tour.

The guy in Blue is Mac,well his name is too long so i call him Mac he is a out going, joviol and happy lad that love's biking, I consider him to be hardcore cyclist, as in doing lots of cycling, he put me to shame la, after this ride he is going to do his RPM in Fitness First (not one but two class ok), he is eyeing on Kim and my bike cause he love FELT bikes also, hehe, I hope he gets one cause we can be FELT Team. See he even knows that FELT bikes are good. He took my bike for a test run and he instantly fell inlove with it. Hope you get your FELT pretty soon bro.

 This is some tour group taking photos near KLCC, darn it, my phone resetted half way thru the ride, if not i would have taken the pictures of KLCC. KLCC concention center, etc..etc..nevermind, there are always more rides to come, going back we enroute to Sri Hartamas then Science center (where the tuesday group always does) i love the hills but today hill climb not much but it will do for now.

 We pass Tugu Negara and saw a bus load of Japanese. I nearly smacked my bike right into the tour bus, wanted to take some pictures with those Jap girls but aiya i rode to fast into the hills.

before heading to Sri Hartamas, Teck Wai,Chin Ho, Kimbeley and Val was atttacking the hills so much that they forgot that there was a group behind, We were separated and we waited for them at the indoor tennis court before heading to Sri Hartamas. I think we better tell Boon Foo to stop selling those CR1's cause its really to fast.

House in Bukit Tunku that is owned Sultan of Brunei, the Compound is so big you can build a football field in it, the house can double as a 100 room hotel. Now thats what I call money to spend.

 I found this house on the left near Bukit Tunku rather interesting, if you look closely this guy/girl has good taste, it looks like a villa from Brazil or the Carribean, it has a infinity pool built and a few decks chair and a small little pool hut. The house is mostly glass

in this trip met alot of new faces and wonderful people. Every ride there are always new people to meet and talk to, so i hope you guys would get a road bike and join in. Check you guys out later.

Looking forward to the 100km Kuala Selangor Firefly ride, and the Proton Presidential Ride on the 19th November. The Bah Kut Teh Ride to Klang with Boon Foo, The Genting Ride, The Port Dickson with Matt and Gang, countless rides.

I hardly did any training despite the Subang 10K run, 10k run to me was like a morning short run, but now lacking training and motivation, 10k run to me seems like a full marathon, i am not sure of my capabilities as of yet cause i only concentrated on my cycling events.

All the training that i did in preparation for the Putrajaya half has gone to waste and now i feel kind depress over a few things at the moment, looking for a venue to have my dinner banquet, looking for a job at the moment and waiting for results, The waiting is the sure killer. so here is the week that was.

16th October. Monday

Practically stayed at home and did NOTHING (what a waste of time) feel like a mat rempit only productive thing i did was went out for a movie with my dad to catch ROB-B-Hood in the night even when I dont even understand chinese. thank god for subtitles.

17th October. Tuesday

Went to see Winnie who came down from Sabah for supper at 1am at Williams, picked her up at Crystal Crown hotel in Section 12 area. OH NO MORE CALORIES ADDED

18th October. Wednesday

Went to banquet halls to look for price and compare ambience. (feel like a mat rempit watching chinese movie) only went out at night to go to Low Yatt and dinner at Jalan Alor (MORE CALORIES)

19th October. Thursday

Stay home all day, DID NOTHING AGAIN ! DARN !!  went to do a 60km loop from Klang to Subang and Back to Klang within 2 hours yup no more partying life. I live a boring life of sports and only sports. Went to mamak at night (yes more calories added to my fat bulging tummy) and randomly we spoke of having a BBQ .. then switched to Steamboat. Matt, Ah Pek, and Lawrence all agreed.

20th October. Friday

Yup Guess what did more of NOTHINGS !  Went to do groceries shopping with the three amigos and bought steamboat stuff worthy of over 15 persons to eat, after that cool evening breeze showed them Jackass 2 on Lawrence 40inch LCD screen and all had a great laugh. Didnt do much boozing as the Barcadi was kept from ancient times, the price tag was tagged at RM29 ringgit, what that kind of amount tagged on a Barcardi and with inflation on the rise that Barcardi could easily be about 10 years ago. I brought my Baileys but forgotten about it, its still now in Lawrence's fridge.

21st October. Saturday 

Went over to my house to check on the status. Thinking of where to renovate and items to check before I move in.

22nd October. Sunday

Perfect Raining Sunday to be staying at home and thats what I did not till late in the night at around 11pm, what in turn out to be a collection of my Steamboat Pot from Lawrence house turns out to be a outing to Genting where we gamble the night away. SIGH ! SIGH and TRIPLE SIGH ! * note to myself*  do not go up to Genting knowing that i can buy myself those ZIPP rims for FREE, ended up i gave Uncle Lim the money to buy HIS ZIPP rims! DARN IT!

thinking to myself, what a unproductive week that was, hhmm, i have to be more constructive to my weeks ahead this time, planning everthing with care and precision not to waste fragile time. *note to myself* not to read 108 series of Manga at one shot, nearly tore my eye out reading all the DEATH NOTE MANGA ! so crude, so evil. In connection to my previous post about MAT REMPIT ! there was this article that Bryan sent to me that really OUTRAGED ME! I was actually neutral to the fact that i even said to leave this guys alone and they shall not harm you, what has happen in the recent wake of all these IDIOTS have really outraged me!

backtrack to the article that i quoted on the other professions that these rempits have. In that same article they the rempit's said that they do not have a track to go to and perform their fruit bearing (YA RIGHT) activities and thats why they ram and speed those cheap bikes of theirs on the road (even my bicycle can buy two of their bikes). This is the article but its in Malay, i will translate it paragraph by paragraph !

(this serious matter should be looked into as because if there is no track built, where would these young lads ride their motorcycle, just like soccer, if there is no field where would they play soccer) Datuk. Soccer is a NATIONAL SPORTS so is MAT REMPITING ? how did in the world you get to your post ? i truly feel sad for a man of your status to be saying all this.  

Beliau berkata, litar lumba yang akan dibina tidak semestinya bersaiz besar, memadai saiz kecil bagi menjimatkan kos pembinaan. There are aplenty of MAt Rempit that would glorify themself if they were given the opportunity) if you say these what about those student that has gotten 10 - 15 straight A's in school and applied for scholar ship and yet they do were not given one. this is not a transparent thing and it shows in this country, the chinese are marginalised as said by SM LEE. Why help those who does not want to be help and yet help those useless. People who shows bright future are not given the chance to support the country and yet sholarships are given by other country to take these bright and elite group. I hope Datuk Azeez would rethink his position as the chief of Umno stating the likes of MAT REMPIT. think of developing the country with better tourism thus maintaining our hospitals, providing it with better equipments, better facilitys to the public and better access to other states with better highway that does jammed up and not waste the money on these low lifes.

I was amazed with the current buzz about Mat Rempit (illegal motor racers/racing, so i wiki'ed it for attempt to see if there was any article about Mat Rempit. and guess what, there is a thing for Mat Rempit, so i went and edited the second paragraph under Mat Rempit on the street. do let me know if you have more stunts that you know of, and here is the definition of Mat Rempit in Wikipedia.

"Mat Rempit is a Malaysian term for 'illegal street racer/racing' which using underbone motorcycle(Kapcai) or scooter. Mat Rempit usually performs the race at the bustling city centre on weekend's night until wee hour. They aged between 16-30, most of them are Malay which coming from poor background."

well i guess that person that edited it must surely made a mistake, its not MOST of them are malay, its all of them whom are malay but coming from poor background is a very stereotyping word. I do believe some of the mid class persona do join in the rempiting. As i was googling on article featuring these thrill seekers,  i stumbled upon this guys blog called Rkaru. He had a near accident with a rempit boy and this was actually posted in OCT last year, and yet the comments keep coming till today, even the Rkaru was amazed at the comments that was kept updating, some comments are good venting their anger at those daredevils and those mat rempit as usual retaliate with their own nonsense.

actually there are thousands of video from where that came from. While surfing for more info on these rempit boys, guess what i stumble upon. have a look at this poster. How cool is this to have their own carnival. And yet the government appose Michael Jackson to come to Malaysia cause he is a child molester (accused but not convicted)

And the local celebrities were roped in to help give talks and be idols to these rempits as said by one of the article i stumble upon. On the title of the article is says that MAWI TEGUR MAT REMPIT and this is the picture showing him talking to those rempits, guess school girls clad in tudung are also mat rempits these days. If you cant beat em join em as the saying goes.

you can watch this flim in google videos (not youtube) but google, search for remp-it babak1 you will see it has 18 segments which are all sizely porportioned to 5 min each. I tried loading it but its taking to long, will try to get DVD if possible. this flim to the extent went on to win awards as well as recognition, after this flim i think those malay races are named officially REMPIT'S! this is just my two-cent's worth on this rempits. I have no grudges againt them, they have not threathen me or whatso ever, i find it as its life's parcel for all this malay chaps. They do their thing and I do mine, i dont go taking trucks with fake number plate and knock em down, as said by kimberlycun. anyway.. in conclusion to the rempit story, i think they are just harmless knowing that they are already uneducated and thinking what they do is actually good for soceity then let it be. haze. is. back. gawd damm hazy, why does it got to ruin a beautiful sunday, and its practically raining outside. Sigh judging from the state of the weather it's going to be hazy tomorrow also, but i dont think i give a hoot about the weather, i am going to do my training no matter what.

i just remembered that i signed up for the 10k run in Subang. and i have not started my running regime yet. this is bad.. i worry for my legs for being overused, yesterday when i was doing hill training on my bike, i felt sore all over my ITB and my thigh as well as my shin, its after a whole week of cycling, this week itself i clocked over 200km of cycling but that is not going to stop me, its the rain that is stopping me, sigh.. Lance is clean as a baby, but all his lieutenant took something even tough they are still way behind in term of power and recuperation.Look at Heras, in one Tour Lance had problem following him, the next year Roberto can hardly follow in the mountain.. later on, he was found guilty EPO. Same thing for Tyler Hamilton blood tranfusion etc.. but still he cannot follow in the high mountain or time trial Floyd Landis in a magnificent break away with Lance, Ullrich and Kloden, the following year he is found guilty of using abnormaly high level of testosterone. I think i have said this once and i will say this again, life is too short to worry bout the small stuff and have mindless arguments, recently my Dad showed me an article in the papers about a guy name Paul Hunter, Paul is a promising snooker player from Leeds, ENGLAND. for those who knows the game of snooker , you would know that he mirrors the image of Beckham in soccer as he is to snooker.

Paul was only 27 years old and he was battling with cancer. He died on Monday 9th October just five days shy of his 28th birthday, its even sad to know that he Paul leaves a wife, Lindsey, and a daughter, Evie Rose whom is not even a year old.

so I sadly say this to everyone, please do enjoy your life, reward yourself the things that you want to do or you want to buy before its to late, cherish the love that has been given to you by your parents and your friends. Respect the elders and be polite to love one, you might never know when you are breathing your last breath, as this lifetime is uncertain and you might just want to treat yourself something good once in a while, Do not slog for that materialistic items that bears the brands and trademarks moneysign, what use is it to you if its gone.  to leave Paul a candle click here.
